Getting More Women on FTSE Boards?

Date:  Tuesday 31 March 2015  Location: Holborn, Central London

Keynote Speaker Professor Liz Kelly

Women have always been under-represented at the top in UK corporate life. Numerous studies have shown that there is a positive relationship between gender diversity at  senior management level and a company's financial performance and profitability, yet few companies have fully embraced the opportunity this represents.
This one day conference will explore the background to and reasons for this gender gap and look at the proactive steps companies can take at every level to develop  talent in  women and prepare them for positions at board level. Whilst progress has been made following the publication of the Davies Report, there is still much to be done.

directive form the European Commission (on track for enactment 2015) aims to advance gender equality in 5,000 listed European companies. It includes a provision to achieve 40% women Non-Executive Directors on the boards of publicly listed companies by 2020. This launch conference in London hosted by Kazuri Minds CiC brings together leading experts and front-line practitioners. Together we will look at solutions that FTSE 250 companies can deploy to fully engage women in their workplaces and develop a talent pool to work alongside male colleagues and create high performing boards.

The conference offers delegates a chance to explore key themes through talks, group discussion and exercises with our expert team and peers from a broad range of industries:
  • Creating a working environment where women can flourish and develop
  • Presenting a compelling business case for more women operating at board level
